We're excited to introduce another innovative solution for subtitling theaters, operas and musicals: The libretto42 app, now available in the app stores for iOS and Android.
Previously, we've developed individual apps with custom branding for specific clients. These tailored solutions are perfect for venues that want a permanent, brand-aligned app. However, not every theater needs its own app – especially for guest performances, individual shows or productions.
The Flexible Alternative
With the libretto42 app, we now offer a more cost-effective, flexible solution that requires less setup: As a customer, you can use the app for your desired number of performances – whether for a single show or an entire season.
How it works:
- Your audience downloads the libretto42 app from the App Store or Google Play Store
- A QR code is available at the venue to be scanned
- App users read along with the subtitles in real time during the performance
- Access to additional information about the play
- Switch between available languages
- Text-to-speech option
What You Get
When you choose the libretto42 app, you receive:
- Access to the Editor – to create and manage your subtitles
- Access to the Player – to control subtitles during live performances
- QR code for app usage at your performances
Important to know: This solution is fully web-based. All components (Editor, Player, App) require a stable internet connection.
