libretto42 Surtitles at NEST – Neue Staatsoper im Künstlerhaus

NEST is a stage for new forms of music theatre and is aimed especially at a young and curious audience. Since opening in 2024, the venue has offered a diverse programme including children’s and youth operas, experimental productions, as well as workshops and discussion formats.

In an international cultural city like Vienna, multilingual access and accessibility play a key role. libretto42 precisely controls the surtitles in the auditorium during performances, allowing visitors to follow the text in perfect synchronisation with the performance.

No speech, music only.

No speech, with music.

The front of the Künstlerhaus in Vienna, with the words “NEST Staatsoper”. The libretto42 logo appears over it.

In the auditorium: a stage with a light green wall and red paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling. Beside the stage, a screen shows the German surtitle “Nicht mehr fege ich nun den Kamin, bin nicht mehr Dienerin. Nein.” (No longer do I sweep the hearth, no longer am I a servant. No.)

At the end, the libretto42 logo and the address www.libretto42.com.

With libretto42, music theatre becomes more international, more understandable, and more accessible – for audiences from around the world.
